Positive: The property was lovely, quintessentially Swiss and yet modern facilities. Rooms had plenty of space and were so comfortable. We loved the property. Staff were so obliging and helpful. More than happy help with luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator due to age of building, The breakfast was delicious and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious and very reasonable. Rooms were air conditioned and having access to washing machine, drier and iron for a few francs was great. Location very handy…. Bus stop right outside. I would highly recommend Hotel Hirschen.

Positive: I went to Interlaken in May 2025 and the location of this hotel was excellent, being only 10-15 minutes away from the city centre, very close to local grocery shops like Lidl and Co-op. The rooms and beds were really comfy, and the hotel itself is historic and has a beautiful interior and exterior. Breakfast in the morning was great, they had different hot and cold options to choose from and there was a decent variety including a coffee machine and teas. Everybody else at the hotel was also respectful so did not expierence any difficulties in that regard. The location was in a quieter part of town, also with beautiful views. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel!
Negative: The room was clean upon arrival however during our 5 day stay, it was not hoovered or vacuumed at all. I do think that this needs to be introduced for stays above 3 days, as we were 3 people in one room and dust, hair and lint started building up quite quickly despite only being at the hotel at night and in the mornings and being out pretty much all day. Aside from that, everything else was great :).
Summary: A really lovely hotel in a quiet, safe location, close to shops and city centre.

Positive: Great location, just about the same distance to both train stations. A great additional free bus ticket from reception on arrival which didn’t realise we got! Nice long beds, cushions were a bit too soft but was great to have aircon with the high temperatures on our visit! Good selection of food for breakfast, would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Very charming hotel, with quite modern rooms though a bit on the small side. Lovely restaurant and charming basement bar. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! One of, if not the best breakfast I've ever had at any hotel.
Negative: The toilet was not cleaned properly there were a few specks which we would have preferred not to see, additionally there was a shampoo and conditioner sachet left in the bathroom from the previous guest. One side of the bed was a bit lower than the other side, which was a bit funny. There were no complimentary water left in the room. We actually thought the water and a small bottle of wine was complimentary and consumed it only to be contacted and told it was not. So we left ignorantly not paying for these items, until contacted.
